Shizuokas cult West Coast Brewing opened its first Kansai bar here in 2023: 16 taps of hop-bomb IPAs in a deliberately dark, lab-like room in Minami-Senba.

West Coast Brewing from Shizuoka is one of the most hyped craft breweries in Japan, known for juicy, intensely hopped IPAs and collaborations that sell out in hours. Its first directly run bar in Kansai, WCB Dark Lab, opened in April 2023 in Minami-Senba, a few minutes from Shinsaibashi, and leans into the brands dark side with a moody black interior. There are 16 draught lines plus cans, special food designed for the beers, and growler fills to take away. Payment is cashless only.
