Misono Building 味園ビル
A faded 1950s leisure building in Sennichimae whose second floor is a dim corridor of tiny themed bars, a cult spot for Osaka's music, film and subculture crowds.
About
The Misono Building was built as a palace of cabarets and entertainment, and its swirling staircase and retro signage still feel like a movie set. On the second floor, dozens of micro-bars seating five to ten people are run by musicians, artists and eccentrics, each with its own theme, from punk and horror films to snack bars. Cover charges vary and some bars welcome walk-ins more than others. It has appeared in many films and is a must for anyone into the strange side of Osaka nightlife.
