Hanshin's underground terminus has lockers at the West Gate, and the basement corridor by Hanshin Department Store B2 holds one of Umeda's biggest single banks (around 300 units including large and extra-large). Good for trips to Kobe or Koshien.

About

Hanshin Osaka-umeda Station lies underground beneath Hanshin Department Store, on the south side of the Umeda hub. Just outside the West Gate are two banks (about 55 small units on one side, plus small, medium and large units by the ticket machines). The bigger prize is the bank on B2 by the Hanshin Department Store food hall exit near the East Gate, with roughly 250 small, 45 medium, 20 large and a few extra-large lockers. From here it is a short underground walk to Higashi-Umeda (Tanimachi Line), Nishi-Umeda (Yotsubashi Line) and JR Osaka. Payment is coins on most units, with IC cards accepted on newer touch-screen lockers. The Diamor Osaka underground mall just south has more lockers, including a dedicated locker room.

Tips

• If Osaka Station's lockers are full, the Hanshin B2 bank is a 5-minute underground walk away and often has space
• Use the Hanshin Line for Kobe-Sannomiya and Koshien Stadium
• Diamor Osaka's coin locker room is another nearby option
• Most lockers are cleared after 3 days and the contents go to the station lost-property office, so don't use them for multi-day storage
