About
Koshi-no-Ie recreates a typical Naramachi merchant house: a narrow lattice-fronted shop space, living rooms with a steep box staircase, a tiny courtyard garden and a kura storehouse at the back. Visitors can walk through freely and sit on the tatami. It is a good introduction to the old merchant quarter south of Sarusawa Pond.
