Nishikyogoku Sports Park is home to Takebishi Stadium Kyoto, used for athletics and the finish of the All-Japan High School Ekiden relay races, and the Wakasa Stadium Kyoto baseball ground. The park has lawns, tree-lined paths and pools, and is busy on match and race days. It is a good stop if you want to catch local sport or high school baseball in Kyoto.
