About
Fufusa makes, wholesales and sells Kyoto-style nama-fu, soft and chewy wheat gluten cakes, and dates back to the Tempo era (1831-1845). It sells white, millet and mugwort fu along with fu dengaku and fu manju, an aonori fu bun filled with red bean paste. The staff give recipe advice, from fu sliced like sashimi to fu sauteed in butter.
