Run by the Tokyo Theatres group, Cine Libre Kobe is in the basement of the Kobe Asahi Building in the old foreign settlement district. It screens international arthouse and independent films alongside selected Japanese releases, with online seat booking. Foreign films are normally screened in the original language with Japanese subtitles (look for 字幕 on the schedule, not 吹替 = dubbed); Japanese films are usually shown without English subtitles.
