About

Founded in 2010 by Masao Hoki, the museum holds about 500 works by some 60 contemporary Japanese realist painters, with around 120 on display. The galleries run along long curving corridors across three floors, including a dramatic cantilevered upper wing. Showa no Mori, Chiba City's largest park, is next door.
