Hojo Beach curves along calm Tateyama Bay, nicknamed 'Kagami-ga-ura' (mirror bay) for its still water. It has been a resort beach since the railway arrived in 1919, and on clear winter evenings the sun sets beside Mount Fuji across the bay; Tateyama's Nagisa no Eki seaside station is at the south end.
