Lamune Onsen is the best-known bath in Nagayu, one of Japan's leading carbonated hot spring towns. The building, by architect Terunobu Fujimori, has charred cedar walls and a copper roof topped with pine trees. A 42°C indoor bath alternates with a cooler 32°C outdoor carbonated pool.
