Yume no Ohashi Bridge 夢の大橋
Japan's widest pedestrian bridge (60 m), an Odaiba promenade that held the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cauldron and is lit up at night.
About
Yume no Ohashi ("Bridge of Dreams") opened in 1996 across the Ariake West Canal as part of the Symbol Promenade Park between Aomi and Ariake. At up to 60 m wide it is the broadest pedestrian bridge in Japan and won a Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka Prize. During the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics the cauldron was set up here and burned through the Games. Looking north from the bridge you see a row of parallel bridges and the futuristic Odaiba skyline; at night the deck is illuminated and quiet, so it is a low-key date spot.
