About

Stand on the pavement by Higashi-Ikebukuro-yonchome tram stop and look north along the tracks: the small, brightly coloured Toden Arakawa Line trams pass with the Sunshine 60 skyscraper rising over the rooftops behind, a classic old-and-new Tokyo shot. Trams run every few minutes, so you will have plenty of chances; a mid-length lens compresses the tram and tower together. Late afternoon light falls nicely on the tram fronts. Stay off the tracks and the platform edge, do not use flash at the drivers, and keep clear of passengers boarding.
