To the west the low-rise suburbs stretch to the Okutama hills, with Mount Fuji visible on clear winter days, while the eastern windows frame the Shinjuku and Ikebukuro skylines. Late afternoon in winter is ideal for a Fuji silhouette at sunset. It is a public office: open only during set hours, use a rubber lens hood or press close to the glass to cut reflections, and keep quiet near the restaurant.
