About

Part of the roof of Machida City Hall is open to the public as an observation terrace. It looks out over the Tadao and Oyamada areas of Machida, Sagamihara and the Tanzawa mountain range to the west. It opens on city hall business days plus the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, and may close during weather warnings or bad weather.

Tips

Use elevator No. 2 (left side) at the south entrance, or the south stairs from the 10th floor; other elevators stop at 10F.
On open Sundays, tell the security office on the south side of 1F before going up.
Eating and drinking are not allowed on the terrace.
