About

Ikebukuro Engeijo is the smallest of Tokyo's four permanent yose (variety halls), with about 90 seats, which makes it the most intimate place to see rakugo comic storytelling. Programmes rotate every ten days and include rakugo, manzai comedy, magic and other variety acts. Performances are in Japanese, but the gestures, props and paper-cutting acts are enjoyable even without the language.
