The JR North Exit has the big bank (about 66 lockers, 8 large) right at the foot of Ameyoko; the South Exit has a smaller bank with 6 large. The Oedo Line's Ueno-okachimachi Station next door adds three more banks.

Out of the JR North Exit, at the start of the Ameyoko market street, three lockers stand together with about 41 small, 17 medium and 8 large units (700 yen fits a suitcase), payable by IC card or cash. The South Exit has a smaller bank of 7 small, 6 medium and 6 large. Underground, Toei Oedo Line Ueno-okachimachi Station has a bank to the left of its JR-side gate (6 small, 3 medium, 6 large, IC payment) and two coin-only banks of small and medium lockers further along the passage to Exit A5 and the Shinobazu gate. The Hibiya Line's Naka-okachimachi Station has lockers by its Exit 3 gate. Private lockers (200-500 yen) are tucked into Ameyoko's arcades, including Ame-yoko Plaza.

• JR East lockers roll over to a new day at 2:00 am and can be used for up to 3 days; after that, bags go to the station's lost-property office
