About
The wooden station building opened in 1907 and served Nankai's Hamadera-koen Station for over a century before the line was elevated. It was restored and reopened as a community space with a cafe, a gallery in the former first-class waiting room with its chandelier and fireplace, and a street piano. Its symmetrical twin wings under one large roof make it a popular photo subject.
