About

Built on reclaimed land in Osaka Bay, KIX is linked to the mainland by the 3.75 km Sky Gate Bridge R, carrying both road and rail. The station sits between Terminal 1 and the Aeroplaza: JR on one side (Haruka to Tennoji, Shin-Osaka and Kyoto; Kansai Airport Rapid to Osaka Station) and Nankai on the other (Rapi:t and airport express to Namba). From the station you walk straight into Renzo Pianos 1.7 km long Terminal 1, whose undulating roof is designed like an airfoil.
