Den Den Town (Nipponbashi) でんでんタウン (日本橋)
Osaka's answer to Akihabara: a strip of Sakaisuji and the side street 'Otaroad' packed with anime goods, retro games, figures, trading cards, maid cafes and electronics.
About
Den Den Town began as an electronics district and turned into western Japan's otaku capital. Along Sakaisuji and especially Otaroad, multi-storey shops sell anime and manga merchandise, figures, used games and consoles, model kits, cosplay and trading cards, with maid cafes and gacha machine halls in between. Highlights include Mandarake Grand Chaos, Super Potato and several large card and figure shops. In March, the Nipponbashi Street Festa cosplay parade takes over the streets.
