Muteppou is one of Kansai's best-known tonkotsu shops, and its main shop stands in the hills of southern Kyoto Prefecture, closer to Nara than to Kyoto. The broth is very thick and rich. It has been a Tabelog Ramen Hyakumeiten every year from 2017 to 2025.
