About
Kubota opened in 2007 and is best known for its ginjo miso tsukemen: thick, square-cut "diamond" noodles from noodle maker Menya Teigaku dipped into a rich, sweet-savoury miso broth. It reached the finals of the national Tsukemen Championship as Kansai's representative. Chicken-shoyu and meat-miso ramen round out the menu, with Kyoto sides like chirimen-sansho rice. Thirteen minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, it is an easy detour.
