About

On Atagoyama hill near Cape Inubo, this observatory's rooftop gives a near 360-degree view in which the ocean horizon appears to curve, hence the name 'hill where the earth looks round'. You also see the Byobugaura cliffs and, in good conditions, the silhouette of Mt Fuji 194 km away. The 2nd floor has Choshi Geopark exhibits including local amber.
